Cinnamon & Orange Cookies

"Come to the dark side, we have cookies!"
Winter is coming fast and cold, so what's better than sitting in your warm living room with a cup of tea and some cookies?
These cookies are not the prettiest, but very fast and easy to make and they taste delicious.
I found the original recipe in a web forum and modified it a little bit - the original was without cinnamon and orange, but with raisins.

  • 250 g melted butter
  • 400 g brown sugar
  • 4 medium-sized or 3 large eggs
  • 1 table spoon vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 350 grams white flour
  • 250 g candied orange peel (cut into small pieces)
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon powder
In a large bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar, stir in eggs (both egg white and yolks) and vanilla sugar or vanilla extraxt. Stir in flour, candied orange peel and cinnamon powder. Let rest in fridge for at least one hour.
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Take the cookie dough out of the fridge and form little balls of dough, about 2 cm in diameter. Place them on a baking tray whith baking paper, leaving at least 6 cm space in between them.

Bake for 15 minutes until they start to brown.

Enjoy!

  1. Oh my! I was searching some cookies to make for the Weekend, I love this combination, I'm thinking of adding oats to the recipe, it's great!
    Good night!
